Charlie Conacher was born 1909 in Toronto Ontario. He wore #9 playing right wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Conacher played 9 seasons with Toronto from 1929-30 to 1937-38. He played on a line with Harvey (Busher) Jackson and Joe Primeau, they were nick named the kid line. Together the three players were near or at the top of the scoring charts all through the 1930`s. Conacher won the Art Ross trophy in 1934 and 1935 as the goal scoring leader, and he tied as the goal scoring leader in 1932 and 1936.
Conacher helped win the Toronto Maple Leafs first Stanley Cup in 1932. Nick named the Big Bomber for his hard slap shot, big and strong at 6' 1" and 200 lbs. He could fire the puck harder than anyone else in the league during his time playing in the 1930`s.
Red Horner a defenceman playing on the same team as Conacher, told whoever would listen that no one could shoot the puck as hard as Conacher.
