Bob Pulford born 1936 in Newton Robinson Ontario. He wore #20 playing center and left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto Maple Leaf player Bob Pulford played 14 seasons with Toronto from 1956-57 to 1969-70.
He came to the Leafs from the Toronto marlboros of the OHA.During those 14 seasons Pulford scored 20 or more goals only 4 times, not a great goal scorer but a great checker in the corners digging the puck out, he was used to check the other teams good players and on the penalty kill.
He had good offensive instincts. One of Pulfords goals he scored is remembered in a playoff game in 1967 against Montreal in the second overtime period of game 3. He scored the winner to advance the Leafs in the playoffs and eventually beat Montreal to win the Stanley Cup. Pulford led the playoffs in assists that 1967 post season with 10. He helped his team win 3 other Stanley Cups in 1962,1963 and 1964.
In 1970 Pulford was traded to the Los Angeles Kings.
